...Unfortunately predictable... (And that's saying something for me!)

    • What is up with 11 and getting captured, thus growing facial hair?!
    • Liked the whole "time is happening all at once."
    • Dickens!
    • ROSE WAS MENTIONED! (The whole "go back to help her with homework" thing sort of reminded me of CharmingSlayer's current on-going series Guardians of the Universe, in which...why don't you go find out?) XD
    • Moffat killed the Brigadier!!! *Cries*
    • Amy~! I really did have a hard time investing myself in the characters from these last two seasons (except Craig, loved Craig from the start), but they've grown on me.
    • Really do like that Amy's able to remember things that others aren't. Must drive her up the wall sometimes, poor girl.
    • Oh, I do love Doctor/Amy as BFFs! Not as much as I love Doctor/Donna as BFFs, but they are rather adorable.
    • LOVED Amy coming back to shoot the Silence. Mwuahaha, take that!
    • Amy and Rory! <3
    • I'm sorry, but...THEY CALL ROSE SELFISH?!?!?! I'm not saying she isn't, 'cause she is. So humanly selfish, but... Trying to remember... Did she ever save the Doctor and not care about the rest of the world dying as long as he was still alive? Can't remember... I'm sure she'd try to find another way too, but... I dunno if I like what River did here.
    • Do like that River disobeyed him, even if it almost resulted in time disintegrating.
    • Don't like that time almost disintegrated because of River.
    • It does suck that River's in prison when she really didn't kill him.
    • Love that River shows the Doctor he is loved.
    • Hmm, always thought River knew his name already because of his crib; I'm guessing that is how she knows it, so she already knows it or...she will? Something like that. Anyway, she knows it after Demon's Run from her timeline. I think.
    • When they replayed that scene with the robot-Amy and the small people, I guessed that that's what would be used (close to the ganger theory). Was especially obvious when the Captain of the Teselecta asks the Doctor if there isn't anything they can do. Also when the Doctor asked them if they could imitate anyone.
    • It's okay Amy; I wanted the woman to die too. You're only human.
    • Poor Amy; she'll be scarred for life: I kissed my son-in-law the day 'before' my wedding. (Twilight anyone? Jacob kissed his future mother-in-law.
    • Ew, do not like what he said about River's nights. Knowing the Doctor, it was meant rather innocently. He's all flirt and no action; because of this, I am glad for Rose having a human Doctor. However, still...
    • ...Are. You. KIDDING?! I dunno why, but when the Doctor first went to get Dorium Maldova and he told him it was "hidden in plain sight," I was thinking, 'Please don't let the question be 'Doctor who'?' ... I mean, it's kind of interesting in the sense that, "Really Doctor, who are you?' but...two seasons for this...? Oh well, he's supposed to be "under the radar" now, so we'll see how next season fairs.
ETA: Gah! I had no idea Nicholas Courtney had died~. Really, I'm just one of those fans that rarely checks up on actors and actresses. Tennant and Piper seem to be the exception, with a sparse few others. Bad me. :( Okay, I like Moffat for dealing with that, at least.

And this reaction right here is why I don't want Dr. Who. Oh well. hehe. In other news, you have given me enough spoilers to NEVER BE INTERESTED! Muahaha!

Seasons 5 and 6 don't count. You WILL watch seasons 1-4. They are the best! 9 and 10 will ALWAYS be my Doctors. *Sighs*

Hullo! :) Just a quick one - the Moff didn't kill the Brigadier. Nicholas Courtenay died sometime this year, about a month after Elisabeth Sladen. This was just a tribute to the Brig, and for continuity's sake.

I agree people are wrong to call Rose selfish. I don't really find her selfish, because she knows how much the Doctor loves the Universe and I strongly believe she would never pull what River did. The difference between Amy and Jacob, is that Jacob really didn't try to seduce Bella, and start to pull of her clothes near his or her bed. The fact that River is Amy's Doctor and "lover" of the Doctor just strongly disgusts me. So creepy and gross.

Yeah, Nicholas Courtenay passed on a while ago. Hearing them make reference to the Brigadier dying was very poignant for me and I almost cried, but I also was grateful for the fact that they were able to use the character to actually drive the plot of the story forward.

I disagree with those calling Rose selfish, she's not, the word doesn't do her justice but I can think of a million others that would get me banned from the com, including one that did, Antichrist.

River's selfishnes counterpoints beautifully with the Doctor's selflessness, he would die for the universe, she would sacrifice the universe for him.

Yeah, I noticed about an hour after posting my own comments, hence the ETA. I'm glad he did that. At least it got me to be as heart-broken as the Doctor was for the unexpectedness! XD

XD Yeah. I haven't really been able to connect with these characters emotionally, although I did come to love Rory a lot and I do ship Rory/Amy. I actually like the Twilight saga and always joke that when Renesmee grows up, it'll be one interesting conversation Jacob will have. Haha.

And well, different companions, different reactions.

XD I know! I felt bad when I didn't realize, but, like I told [livejournal.com profile] tala_hiding, at least this gave me the opportunity to be as heart-broken as he was (well, hearts-broken, in his case). It was a very good input.

Yeah, I never really thought of Rose as selfish, but if she is, she is, humanly so.

Huh, good point about River and the Doctor's counterpoint. Like the Doctor, though, I didn't really appreciate it. However, VERY nice way of looking at it. :)

I have a hard time reading Breaking Dawn because it is so creepy that Jacob is paired up with Renesmee. I was literally like "Jacob paired with Bella and Edward's daughter? What is this fanfiction? What a cheap copout." I love Rory. At first I wasn't sure about him, but once he started traveling with them I was like "I LOVE YOU RORY!" I cried when he died the first time.

Hahaha, Breaking Dawn DID feel like fanfiction, didn't it? It took me a while to get used to it; I'm not saying it was a fantastic book or way to end the saga, but...eh. I wouldn't have had a problem with it if Jacob hadn't been attracted to Bella in the first place, even though he had confused his attraction for her 'cause she would give birth to his soul mate... o.O

Wasn't to sure about him either (I just felt bad that Amy snogged the Doctor the night before their wedding), but he was probably the first Moffat-era character I fell for first.

I'm with you on most of your points, sadly I can't get the episode out of my mind. Secondly I love your icon and thirdly thanks for the shootout to my beloved baby of a series. Amy was the best thing in this episode since she finally showed a real reaction to having her baby taken.

Hello! Yeah, this episode just... I got the icon at [livejournal.com profile] x_elements_x. <3 the TARDIS. Your series needs to be read!!! I KNOW! I was all, GO AMY! (Finally the writers thought it was about time she showed some emotion.) Plus Rory! <3

I know. It kinda is like Rensemee was second choice compared to Bella. Because the feelings Jacob felt for her before she got preggers was not for an unborn child. I fell for Rory before the Doctor. I've grown to love Matt Smith, but in my opinion and heart David Tennant will always be my Doctor.

From: [identity profile] silverlunarstar.livejournal.com
I don't think Renesmee was so much a second choice as she was first, Jacob just didn't know it yet, but their current and eventual relationship is way twisted. @.@

I fell for Rory before 11 too! I think that the way 11 was written was too...I dunno, I had a hard time connecting with him, unlike with 9 and 10. I think Smith did a good job this season because the scripts were a bit better. He could have been SO much better with a better head writer than Moffat, I think. All of them could have.

Although 11 did grow on me, 9 and 10 (could never choose) will always be my Doctors. :)

I agree. Nine is my first Doctor. I was so sad that he left. It took two episodes for me to be okay with David Tennant. But he's so crazy and the Doctor for so long that it's hard not to love him. I feel sorry for Matt because there really isn't a lot of episodes that allow him to really stand out as THE DOCTOR! David's first full episode had that defining moment. Matt hasn't had a real defining moment. There's been some pretty close ones, but nothing that in my opinion screams Doctor. It's not his acting, cause he's good with what he's been given, but the fault of the writers. It was like they were kind of scared to not go along with Moffat. Gaiman wasn't. I loved The Doctor's Wife. It was kind of screw you Moffat, in my opinion. It really stood out of the season.

Same~! It took me about two episodes too. Oh, my reaction to when 9 regenerated. I was NOT happy; I couldn't stop giving 10 the evil eye. It was hard not to fall for him, though. Total nutter. Hee.

Yeah, honestly, season 5 was a bit TOO concentrated on Amy. I mean, of course we want to know her story, a girl who's known the Doctor since she was a child? How cool! But we didn't get much out of 11 there.

Oh~, The Doctor's Wife was a FANTASTIC episode. So love Gaiman for giving us that. <3 TARDIS. It really seemed like the odd one out, but it was oh-so-brilliant!

I also loved The God Complex. I felt that it had and RTD era feel to it. That you saw the darkness that resides in the Doctor. Plus Rita's death. For me it was a near perfect episode. Lately there haven't been any secondary companions dying. I feel like in most episodes lately there is either no secondary companions or "everyone lives" kind of feeling. I like the darkness in the Doctor because to me it makes him seem more believable.

Oh yes! That episode was definitely in the top five of these past two seasons (so sad I have a top five when I couldn't choose between any for the first four seasons). The Minotaur's speech about the Doctor was amazing and the fact that the Doctor was translating it when it was meant for him all along; talk about kick in the gut.

The other one I really enjoyed was the second to last episode, Closing Time. I really like Craig and seeing the Doctor with Alfie was bittersweet. I think Craig overcoming the Cybermen's programing also gave the Doctor so much more hope. It balanced a good amount of humor and angst, I think.

I've seen parts of Closing Time and it looks good. I like Craig. I really do. There should be more Craig next season.

Try to watch it completely; it's definitely worth it.

There should be more Craig next season.
